RESULT
Prescot Cables came from behind to secure a fantastic victory against up and coming Salford City by beating them 1-2.

On this occasion the Class of 92 backed outfit were no match for the heart and desire shown by the Cables team. With goals from Antony Shinks and Mason Ryan Prescot Cables have successfully negotiated their way past the Preliminary Round. Cables should now play Goole at Home on the 1st November, with Goole having beaten Burscough 1-0.

Cables win was certainly an upset in the competition considering the league positions of both teams and the resources available to the Managers and Committee. Nevertheless this shows what can be done. Neil Prince was understandabley proud of the performance from Cables and affirmed that "Cables are a good side who can compete with anyone on their day".
