PRESCOT CABLES manager Dave Ridler admits his side need to learn their lesson – and quick.
The Valerie Park side made a promising start to the month with a victory over Harrogate Railway Athletic but have since endured some frustrating afternoons in the Evo-Stik First Division North.
Following last weekend's 1-0 defeat to Radcliffe Borough, Cables were thumped 5-1 by Warrington Town on Tuesday night.
Ridler says injuries have not helped Prescot's plight but familiar errors are costing them dear.
“On Tuesday night we had four of five regular players missing, including our captain and our keeper,” said Ridler, whose side are 17th in the league.
“But we didn't start particularly well, it was shocking to be honest. We haven't been like that all season.
“But we are not learning from our mistakes. Last week against Radcliffe Borough we dominated the game from start to finish but they have had one chance and killed us”.
Ahead of today's visit of Mossley, Ridler added: “Mossley are a good side with a couple of wingers. But it is all about how we play. We need to show consistency because we have been switching off.”
