IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
RE HOLLYOAKS
Cables is situated directly next to houses. The Board of
Directors have no desire to affect the local residents
peace. The one issue that effects relations between the
Club and residents is inconsiderate parking by visitors.
Such parking will not be tolerated and the Club
encourages the police to take action against drivers
where necessary.
Prescot Cables continued to improve against the Motormen and showed
that they are a side that is slowly but surely coming together. Cables
fans were keen for the team to build upon the win against Chadderton
and see how they perform against opposition from a higher league. They
were not disappointed in any way. In contrast to the game against St
Helens Town, Cables on this occasion did actually turn up for the
match. There seemed to be a desire to play and win and this was
evidenced by commitment to win the ball and give 100 percent effort.
During the first 5 minutes of the match both teams were extremely
busy. There was a definite air of excitement in the ground and the 180
supporters who attended could sense that there was a possibility that a
good contest was about to unfold. You could tell that both teams were
up for it.
At 19 minutes the Motors Kyle Sampson burst along the right wing only
to be subjected to a quality tackle by Cables Phil Green. Game on.
Cables were not going to be embarrassed this evening. A few minutes
later Mike Burke for the Motormen ran through a static Cables defence
and scored. However the dissapointment soon faded when the Liner
called it Offside and the goal was disallowed.
Visitors are asked not to park
inconsiderately or outside local houses.
Please use one of the many nearby local
car parks that will be available and only a
short walk away.
