It was an exceptional day and one that Cables can be justifiably proud of. If the first team players perform as a cohesive unit half as well as the supporters and directors we will have no worries in the UniBond 1st Division. The reserve players acquitted themselves well in the game, winning 3 - 2...but the camaraderie among the players and management was great to witness. For the love not the money was never more true! All proceeds going to Willowbrook Hospice. The Hollyoaks team were superb and even though they had played in 90 minutes in quite warm weather, they did not disappoint the many fans who turned up to see them. It was good to see some of the first team players and manager supporting the event too. |
