Cables' defensive woes returned with a vengeance on Easter Monday as individual defensive lapses sent Cables crashing to their 10th league defeat in 11 outings. Prescot made a promising start as Rob McIntosh flashed a header just wide of a Lairds' post from a corner in the first five minutes. The promise didn't last long as hesitant defending by Cables' rearguard allowed Lairds' Danny Andrews to stroll into the Cables area before slamming a low effort past Cables' Keeper Andy Paxton. |
