Cables rallied briefly as Darren Byers fired an angled drive across the Hednesford six yard box and the Hednesford Keeper was alert to keep out a near post effort by Jamie Croxton.With half time approaching Hednesford snatch the third killer goal as Tyrone Bennett holds off Cables' Karl Bell before drawing Cables Keeper Phil Hunt and side footing the ball beneath the Cables Gloveman's reach.

Hednesford midfielder Elliot Durrell skips around Cables Keeper Phil Hunt only for his legs to be whipped away from beneath him.The loose ball rolls towards the Cables goal where Rob McIntosh clears off the line and straight onto the post.The loose ball then falls to the still prone Elliot Durrell who manages to scoop the ball into the Cables net.

Cables almost snatch a goal with first half time almost up.Rob McIntosh heads the ball down for Darren Byers to fire a snap-shot at the Hednesford goal. The ball cannons into a defender's midriff with the Keeper already committed and the danger is cleared. Before the first half is over there is still time for Cables' young Keeper Phil Hunt to save bravely at the feet of Hednesford's Tyrone Bennett.

Any thoughts of a Cables' come back are effectively dashed when Hednesford notch a comedy fourth.

Cables have their first second half attempt via Jamie Croxton's 18 yard daisy cutter. On 70 minutes Tyrone Bennett misses a golden chance to score his hat trick as he heads wide a curling corner from six yards out. With four minutes left Elliott Durell turns home a low left wing cross to complete the rout.To rub salt into Cables' wounds right back Cameron Dalton is sent off in added time for a second bookable offence.
