Prescot's league woes continued with defeat against a well organised Bamber team in the Unibond Division One North.

Denny missed the first chance for Bamber as he evaded markers but produced a rather tame effort.Aaron Rey showed his pace when breezed past his marker. The defender recovered well to block the goal bound attempt. Rey latched onto the loose ball to fire across the goal line.

Bamber closed down well and created more width in their game. Prescot avoided their goal being breached when keeper Lowe blocked Denny's attempt. The ball broke to McIntosh who slipped allowing the Bamber No.9 to reclaim possession. He proceeded to miss an open goal.

The breakthrough came when a hopeful lob into the Cables area that caused a mix-up and led to the opening goal. Sargeson capitalised when he fired clinically past keeper Lowe in the 72nd minute.
In the dying moments Lowe pulled off an acrobatic save, although could do nothing to stop Eastwood's clinching effort on 92 minutes.
