Prescot Cables Board of Directors are very
pleased to announce the signing of a new
Management Team with the appointment of
Dave Ridler as Manager and Karl Bell as his
Assistant.
The Board have been very impressed by Ridler and Bell's performance in their Caretaker roles during the short period that they have been in charge.
Dave Ridler has bags of personal experience with over 400 appearances for football league clubs having played for Wrexham, Macclesfield, Shrewsbury and Scarborough. Ridler holds a UEFA B coaching qualification and is currently a member of Liverpool Football Club Academy coaching team having just returned from a tour of Malaysia.
Ridler's Assistant Karl Bell has plenty of experience to offer having previously won an F.A. Trophy Medal with Burscough F.C. and a Northern Premier League medal with Accrington Stranley. Bell has stepped up to the Assistant Managers role from the Cables Reserve Team Managers post which is now being held by Graham Sumner.
It is often said that what goes around comes around. Both Ridler and Bell started their playing careers as teenagers with Cables. If their managerial careers are as half as successful as their playing careers Cables will do very well.
The selection process saw over 20 highly qualified candidates apply for the post. It was an extremely competitive application process. The Cables Board would like to thank all the applicants for their interest.
