Cables slumped to their 19th league defeat of the season
in a disappointing encounter with play-off hopefuls
Kendal Town at Hope Street. Kendal were quick out of
the blocks and almost scored three times in the first 10
minutes but were thwarted by a combination of poor
finishing and exceptional goal keeping by Cables'
Keeper Zak Jones. It was 25 minutes before the home
side threatened the Kendal goal as Cables midfielder
Steve Williams advanced to the edge of the Kendal area
before fizzing a drive inches wide of the right hand post.

On 33 minutes Cables' keeper Zak Jones had to be alert
to keep out a curling Kendal free kick from 25 yards
out.
