Ex pro footballer Gary Martindale has joined the coaching staff at Cables.
Gary who is 40 year old is hoping that his life will begin with Cables where he hopes to call upon his vast experience in the world of football to assist Dave Ridler and Karl Bell in harmonising the team and improving performance.
Having played professional football at Notts County. Peterborough, Bolton and Rotherham Gary has seen and experienced football at a very high level. Having won trophies and accolades whilst at Burscough he knows how to win. He has also played at Telford and Vauxhall where he was involved as Assistant manager a few seasons back.
Dave Ridler knows what Gary can bring to the team having been up against him on the field many times. Karl Bell played with Gary whilst at Burscough.
Gary's goal scoring prowess was evidenced in his winning of an award for leading goal scorer. However, he has been brought in to add something to the squad other than just football skills. It is expected that his involvement with the team will impact positively upon performance and positive mental attutude which will in turn produce better results.
