2009 - Celebrating 125 Years of Football History
Legal Advisor - Peter Neal spoke about the Share Allocation
Thanks were extended to previous Directors who were now standing down - John Williams, Frank Weston and David Williams who have significantly contributed to the survival and success of Prescot Cables. The following Directors were duly appointed:-
Tony Zeverona, Doug Lace, Ken Derbyshire, Norman Parr, Dennis Bellairs, Mick Flaherty, Peter Neal, Margaret Byrom, Nick Arnold and Geoff C.

The Chairman was extremely pleased with the development of the Club. Despite the relegation such is the standing of Cables that the vacant managerial position did not even require advertising. Ultimately 4 candidates were invited to interview. The Chairman recognised that the Team was a "work in progress" and that this consolidation Season would see Cable stablise and present a firm foundation for the future.

Thanks was extended to Kevin Jones who had worked hard to
create a Youth and Junior structure at Cables. The Reserve Team has this season gained election to the West Cheshire League and is flourishing at that level. The existence of a reserve and yout teams is starting to pay dividends at the Club. Joe Gibiliru stated that he has never previously had the luxury of this type of structure and 3 players have already come through the teams and been given a chance in the First Team. Phil Burton, the Reserve Team Manager has already won Manager of the Month in only his second month in post.

A special thanks was given by the Chairman to the Supporters Club who are the backbone of Cables and never fail to amaze with their ability to raise funds and support the teams.

Club Secretary Doug Lace also emphasised the importance of the work carried out by Kev Jones, and the benefits of links with community organisations such as Knowsley Community College. Doug Lace was confident that the right Management Team in Joey Gib and Dave Ridler had been selected.
