2009 - Celebrating 125 Years of Football History
A league ruling meant that all clubs had to undergo testing on the luminance of the floodlights. The testing was conducted
by Evo Stik League partners - Abacus Lighting. The results showed that Cables floodlights were not of the required
brightness levels.
Abacus inspected the structure of the floodlights and discovered that over time the light casings had become coroded and in some instance cracked. Whilst that sort of repair was not mandatory the Club considered it to be a wise investment to safeguard the light fittings.
The overall cost of the repairs was just over £4000, however, the light improvements were necessary and the structure repairs a wise move. The improved light fittings now mean that the brightness levels at the pitch have been improved by an amazing 80%.
