Twenty years ago, 24,000 Liverpool fans travelled to a football match. 96 never returned. You dont have to be a Liverpool fan or even a football fan to be struck by the faces of the victims or the sheer horror of the fact that so many could lose their lives whilst simply following sport. To remenber those that lost their lives on that terrible day a number of Cables fans attended an AFC Liverpool match to show their respects. Prior to the Prescot Cables v Cammell Lairds match on Monday 13th April a minute silence was held. Not a sound was made. |
