Prescot Cables have become a Community Interest Club. We are the first Football Club to achieve such
status. The advantage of that is that no one person owns the Club. No one person controls the Club for
their own financial benefit, seeking to make any sort of profit out of it. The Community will effectively own
the Club and the sole purpose is to afford the residents of Knowsley and surrounding areas the
opportunity to enjoy football at the highest possible level. But, without support of fans the Club would not
exist.

Prior to the start of the 2008/2009 Season a number of Committee members and Supporters worked
hard painting cleaning and fixing at the ground. One Supporter, Nick Arnold and his family have gone the
extra mile and shown what it means to be a member of the prestigous BARMY ARMY, by fundraising,
sorting out buffets, cleaning, looking after kit and many other things. Nick was deservedly awarded the
2008/2009 Supporter of the Year Award.
